Veterans are once again answering the call to serve, not overseas but here at home, to help heal America’s broken politics. Veterans for All Voters, a coalition of more than 700 active veteran volunteers, has officially launched the Take the Oath Challenge, a nationwide effort to reaffirm the enduring promise at the heart of military and public service: the oath to the Constitution.
A Movement Beyond Party
Veterans for All Voters is a diverse community of conservatives, progressives, and independents united by a belief that Americans deserve better than what today’s political system is offering. Their vision is “a healthy and truly representative American republic, facilitated by competitive elections, where all citizens are both incentivized and excited to participate.”
The group stresses that it is nonpartisan.

Their latest initiative, the Take the Oath Challenge, brings that mission to life in a personal and powerful way.
I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. The Most Trusted Voices in America
Veterans are among the most trusted voices in America. Having served alongside people of every race, faith, and background, they know what it means to put mission over politics. By renewing their oath in public, veterans remind the nation that their allegiance is not to a party or ideology but to the Constitution itself.
We swear to a document and an ideal, to a promise and a duty that defines who we are and what we strive to become. It calls us to keep building the nation we serve, in uniform and long after.”
How to Take the Oath Challenge
The campaign invites veterans and allies to participate in three simple steps.
Read the Oath Revisit the 72 words that unite every veteran and service member. The Oath of Office is more than a formality; it is a lifelong promise to uphold and defend the Constitution above all else.
Reflect on It Think about what the oath means to you today. How has it shaped your service, your values, and your civic engagement? What responsibilities does it call you to in this moment? Use these questions to guide your reflection.
Record and Share to Create a Ripple Effect Film a short 60–90 second video sharing your story of service and recommitment. Then, invite others to join by tagging or challenging 2–3 fellow veterans to share their own oath videos.
By taking these steps, participants help create a ripple effect across the nation, reminding Americans that the oath to the Constitution is a promise that never expires.
Taking on Gerrymandering
Beyond the Oath Challenge, Veterans for All Voters is also weighing in on urgent issues affecting representation today, including the ongoing fight against partisan gerrymandering. The group is advocating for fair and competitive maps in every state.
I served with Americans from every background who put our country first. Gerrymandering erodes that spirit. It walls off communities and rewards party loyalty over service to the people,” said Eric Bronner, Founder of Veterans for All Voters.
Veterans for All Voters supports a politics where the best idea wins, where voters and veterans alike have a greater voice in the political process, and where candidates are supported for their character and vision, not just their party affiliation.
Through the Take the Oath Challenge and their advocacy for Fair Maps and Final Five Voting, they are working on meaningful structural reforms to help unify our country and give citizens more choice and more voice in elections.
Veterans have served our country with honor, and now they are serving again by supporting nonpartisan reforms that put country over party. With each voice that joins, with each oath that is taken and shared, the message grows stronger: all voters matter, every voice deserves to be heard, and the oath to the Constitution is what binds us all together.
