Information Overload: Gene Cubbison Decodes Politics in the Digital Age

This week host T.J. O’Hara is joined by Gene Cubbison. Gene is the host of the show, “Politically Speaking.”

The two discuss the impact technology has on access to information and news, political journalism, the media’s interaction with political parties, the First Amendment right to free press and to peaceably assemble, and more.

Gene earned his degree in Communications from Stanford University. He began his career as a reporter for a number of local San Diego news organizations, including KFMB-TV, the San Diego Union, San Diego Daily Transcript, and the San Diego Independent.

He joined NBC 7, where he has earned numerous awards for broadcast journalism. He currently hosts “Politically Speaking” where he examines political, government, and civic issues affecting San Diego.
