U.S. Reps. Jodey Arrington (R-Texas) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) introduced a House Joint Resolution Thursday that proposes a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on members of Congress.

The proposed amendment would limit members of the U.S. Senate to two terms and members of the House to 6 terms. In other words, no senator or representative would be able to hold on to their seat longer than 12 years.
