1. But not everyone was pleased with the mayor's strong words. Mike Huckabee responded: “People are outraged that someone who expresses a view that is shared by most of the country is being bullied by hate speech and intolerance from the militant gay groups that are trying to disenfranchise his right to a personal opinion.”
2. Huckabee later declared August 1st to be "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" asking supporters who share the same views as the fast food chain to support them by visiting them in stores.

What bothers me most about this whole Chick-Fil-A dustup is that many people see this as a first amendment issue. The first amendment is too important to be trivialized like this.
