Polls Show Harkey, Levin In Tight Race For 49th District
San Diego, CA.- Central to the Democrats desire to take back the house in November is a strong showing in California.
California is home to seven GOP-held seats that Hillary Clinton carried in 2016.

CA Registration Report: Independent Voters Cross 5 Million Mark
California Secretary of State Alex Padilla released the latest voter registration numbers Tuesday. The report shows that the number of No Party Preference (independent) voters -- the second largest voting bloc in the state -- continues to climb, and has surpassed 5 million voters.
No Party Preference voters now make up 26.75% of the registered voting population. Voters registered NPP jumped 252,534 voters from the last report dated May 21. It is, however, important to note a couple of things:

Tighter Gun Legislation
Senate Bill 1100 now requires all firearms purchasers to be at least 21. California already restricts handgun sales to people 21 and older.
The new law exempts law enforcement, members of the military and people with hunting licenses from the restriction.
