Questions Remain in Alleged Kansas Vote Tampering Case
On July 20, IVN reported on Dr. Beth Clarkson's work, alleging voting machine tampering in three states.
Interest in this case has definitely grown, with more news sites and groups taking up the story and calling for the Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach to audit the election results.
I had the opportunity to talk to Dr. Clarkson by telephone this past week, to discuss her thoughts and ultimate goals of this case, and I was truly amazed by both the complexity and the amount of evidence tha

Rand Paul Needs A Jumpstart as Campaign Stalls ahead of First Debate
One of the more anticipated campaigns for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination has seemingly dropped from the national conversation and is struggling to raise money.
Called "The Most Interesting Man in the Senate" by Reason magazine, Rand Paul has built his Senate career on filibustering extrajudicial assassinations and opposing the security state. In the last year, Paul consistently
polled close to presumptive leader Jeb Bush. However, as the field has widened, the Rand Paul campaign ha

Voters Think Pot is Safer than Alcohol, But Who Will Legalize It Next?
While a majority of Americans - 52 percent - now favor weed legalization, the federal government has done very little to act on the changing views of the nation. Many states, however, have taken matters into their own hands, passing legislation to better represent the changing attitudes of their residents.
Today, 4 states - Oregon, Colorado, Washington, and Alaska - plus our nation's capital, Washington, D.C., have legalized the recreational use of marijuana, 24 states have legalized medical ma

Attention All Independent Voters, Our Time Is Coming Soon
On June 26, I attended an event in Cambridge, Massachusetts called the City Dance Party. Every year thousands of people flock to this event from all over the Greater Boston Area. The streets ringing City Hall are closed down, and for a few hours the square in front of City Hall is turned into an enormous dance party. At night, the front of City Hall is lit up with swirling lights while colored spotlights pan over the jubilant crowd.
As the event neared its end, the energy of the crowd was surgi

VIDEO: Key Lessons California is Learning from Colorado to Make Voting Easier
https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=1096&v=ECRSwfYWqN4
The origins of why Americans typically vote on Tuesdays involve farmers, horses and buggies, and a 19th century federal law. Here in 21st century California, the reasoning behind a recent proposal to expand voting options beyond Election Day Tuesday originates from the success of another state in boosting voter turnout: Colorado.
In California, vote-by-mail has become more and more popular, but only 42 percent of registered voters actually cas

Why Hundreds of Veteran Care Groups Shouldn't Exist
On Flag Day, my wife and I went to a great concert - Gary Sinise and The Lieutenant Dan Band. The concert was hosted by The Hotel del Coronado, and the stage was literally on the beach. Food, drink, our toes in the sand, a suntan, great fun, and excellent music. Genres including Country, disco, Rock, Pop, Swing, and more -- ranging from the 40s to present day. And yes, I could not live with myself if I capitalized "disco."
We were both extremely entertained, and if you ever have the opportunity
