Santa Fe Ranked Choice Voting: Higher Turnout, Clearer Outcomes, Better Results
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaVYBhZTjRU
Voter turnout soared. Santa Fe voters felt empowered with more choices and with a campaign wildly hailed for its civility and substantive tone. The city’s diversity will be reflected in its elected officials. And Santa Fe has a new mayor who has the support of a landslide majority of the city’s voters rather than a low plurality.
Last week's historic Santa Fe municipal voting – the city’s first with ranked choice voting –proved a resounding and drama

Jordan Peterson Is Wrong About Borders
#1. "The fundamental assumptions of Western Civilization are valid."
Jordan Peterson begins a lecture he gave last June:
"12 principles for a 21st century conservatism"
With the caveat:
"I am not making the claim that the statement is perfect, comprehensive, or final."
Good.
Below I've transcribed an excerpt from his first principle above.
Please don't skip over it to the part about borders because pretty much everything he says here is my critique of his fourth principle.
Which is:

In that city, Mayor Richard Berry pioneered the program that has resulted in the following:

IVN Monthly Update: Record Number of Independents Give Voters Hope
Happy New Year! And what an exciting year 2018 will be for independent candidates and the reform movement!
In an election year that is supposed to be highly dramatic and very expensive, voters will be told that they have only two options to choose from, red or blue. However, the midterms will offer a record-number of alternative choices to voters who want to end the two-party duopoly.

8 Common Sense Solutions to Immigration That Go Beyond Two-Party Politics
As with many issues today, the debate on immigration is mired in partisan opposition instead of pragmatism. At one time, nearly everyone agreed that illegal immigration was a problem, but now one side acts as if it's a "human right" to live anywhere you want while the other suggests anyone here illegally is up to something nefarious.
Even where people understand the space between, we have no real solutions that address the disease rather than the symptoms.

Trump Can Pass DACA and Build a Wall -- Just Not a Real One
As part of his campaign platform, then-candidate Trump called for a litany of immigration reforms, including his trademark cry for a “beautiful” wall along the US-Mexico border.
Trump’s campaign, however, offered little detail on design, or how the wall would function in the rough border terrain. The administration has since revealed several prototypes, but the final plans remain ambiguous and unfunded by lawmakers.
Despite Trump’s vague proposal, he will soon use the enigmatic wall as a botto

As a result of the continued toxic political environment, millions of Americans are not only dissatisfied with the two-party duopoly, but want more choices in elections and are looking to political leaders who are willing to put voters and country before their party, and challenge partisan group think when it doesn't align with their principles.

Why We Need Ranked Choice Voting to Protect the Will of Voters
A special city council meeting was recently held in Santa Fe, New Mexico to discuss the implementation of ranked choice voting (RCV). In March of 2008, voters in Santa Fe adopted a charter amendment to elect their public officials using RCV.
Here is a quick explanation of ranked choice voting:
