Understanding Energy Security in the United States

The rise in gas prices under President Obama has been mentioned often in the past months and the debate has been focused on talking about the United States' energy independence.
But in reality, it would more relevant to talk about energy security which can be defined as the ability of households and businesses to accommodates disruptions of supply in energy markets.
And these disruptions varies greatly with regards to particular energy source. For examples the versatility of prices of electricity or oil are very different. The following infographic, analyses the different sources of energy available and what can be done improve the energy security of the United States.
