C-SPAN aired a panel discussion during the annual National Conference of Independents, featuring Committee for a Unified Independent Party President Jacqueline Salit; Open Primaries President John Opdycke; co-founder, executive vice president, and general council of National Action Network, Michael Hardy; Harry Kresky, general counsel for the Committee for a Unified Independent Party; Rob Richie of FairVote; Paul Johnson, former mayor of Phoenix; and IVC Media, LLC President Chad Peace. The panelists discussed current efforts at political and electoral reform, the roadblocks getting in the way of these efforts, how to garner the interest of the public, and the future of these efforts and the independent movement.
