San Diego Veterans Day Parade 2012
San Diego Veterans Day Parade 2012
The Marine Band of San Diego The San Diego Veterans Day Parade, in keeping with tradition, followed the same route as prior years - down the Pacific Coast Highway between Cedar Street and West Harbor Drive. One slight change, however, is that the San Diego Veterans Day Parade Committee partnered with The Band of Tribute. This partnership saw the participation of two California high school marching bands, the El Rancho High School Marching Dons and the Mariposa County High School Grizzly Band.

US Courts Finally See The Politics of Restrictive Voting Laws
Photo: www.cit.uscourts.gov Contrary to popular belief, the right to vote was not guaranteed by the Constitution. The Constitution implies a voting process but neither describes it nor identifies who the voters will be. The 15th Amendment, ratified in 1870, during the post-Civil War reconstruction period, prohibited individuals from being allowed to vote on the basis of race, even if the person was a former slave. However, this amendment was meaningless in the former confederacy, as voting laws
