Romney and Ryan To Make a Last-Minute Push For Pennsylvania
Credit: Kevin Dietsch
With only a few days left before Election Day, the presidential election is coming down to only a few states. Swing states Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado, Virginia, Ohio, Florida, and New Hampshire will determine the outcome, all of which Barack Obama won in 2008. Of these, only Florida is likely to go for Mitt Romney in 2012.
In Virginia it is neck-and-neck, but traditionally Republican states North Carolina and Indiana, which both went for Obama in 2008, will probably switch

The Conservative Case Against Mitt Romney
Photo: Gage Skidmore
"The Conservative Case Against Mitt Romney" may seem like an odd title. Isn't making a conservative case against Mitt Romney the equivalent of squaring the circle?
The foremost liability against Romney is his untrustworthiness. As the Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." It is out of this singular trait that flow many of the reasons conservatives should not support the former Massachusetts governor. Each of these liabilities

Hurricane Sandy Effect on Election Could Hurt Democrats
Satellite Image: NASA
According to one forecasting firm, Hurricane Sandy will "end up causing about $20 billion in property damages and $10 billion to $30 billion more in lost business," and as of Tuesday evening the superstorm had left millions without power in the Northeast and claimed the lives of 45 people on the US mainland.
Though Hurricane Sandy will be long over by the elections next week, its massive disruptions will still be a part of life for many voters in the eastern United States

Romney's Endorsement of Mourdock Could Deter Independents
Photo: Statehousefile.com
In an election where unaffiliated voters will likely decide the outcome, Romney’s endorsement of Mourdock could drive independents away. Despite Mourdock's recent gaffe divulging his belief that pregnancies resulting from rape are "something that God intended to happen," Romney has stood by the Indiana candidate.
A Romney campaign spokesperson released a statement last week regarding Richard Mourdock's comment, stating, "We disagree on the policy regarding exceptions

In This Election, Independence from Partisanship is Key
Up until the last presidential debate, Americans had heard little about George W. Bush, even from Republican candidate, Mitt Romney. It wasn’t until recently that former President Bill Clinton started stumping for the Democratic Party and heavily endorsing President Obama in this election cycle. It seems that, despite a painfully partisan environment that is invariably apparent to the public, independence from partisanship is key to win over the coveted “swing” voters.
In some tight senate rac

San Diego Maritime Museum's Haunted Tales of Seafaring Past
San Diego's own Star of India
San Diego has a rich and colorful history, yet, like any other major city, it retains elements of a seedy past. As a port town, with sailors unleashed landward like Genghis Khan on the city's streets, myths and tall tales have developed over the years. The San Diego Maritime Museum's own iron-hulled ship, The Star of India has it's own dark tales following its construction in 1863. This is why the museum will be holding a Haunted Tales from our Seafaring Past ev

Indian Food In San Diego
In the overwhelmingly corporate area of Mission Valley, there is hardly anywhere to eat that isn't a massive franchise like Denny's or Chili's. Although these kinds of restaurants can be nice at times, they get rather boring.
"Indian food.. what is Indian food?". Curry, spices, and other unfamiliar ingredients. Leaving Mission Valley all the way to Sports Arena, Indian cuisine was in the near future.
The restaurant was decorated with all kinds of things from the cultu

Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock Struggles For Lugar's Support
(Credit: Indianapolis Star)
In Indiana, two battles are transpiring. The first is between US Senate candidate Richard Mourdock, a Republican and Representative Joe Donnelly, a Democrat. The second is the ongoing battle between Mourdock and the man he defeated in the primary, US Senator Richard Lugar.
After Mourdock defeated Lugar in the Republican primary on May 8, the Democrats saw an opportunity to gain a Senate seat. Since his first victory in 1976, Lugar never earned less than 54% of the v
