A New Way Forward for Colorado? Inside the Nation's Tightest Election

There are few truly competitive congressional elections in the US. However, Colorado voters in the state's 3rd Congressional District will not only decide the tightest election in the state, but the entire country this November.

In 2022, US Rep. Lauren Boebert retained her seat with just 546 votes against Democratic candidate Adam Frisch. In 2024, Frisch is back and is running against Republican Jeff Hurd.

Forward Party Founder Andrew Yang sat down with Frisch to discuss his campaign, which Frisch says is that of a conservative Democrat who rejects "angertainment" and focuses only on problem solving.

"The people want a commonsense approach for the 95% of the people who are not spending their whole life on cable news networks and Twitter," Frisch said. "People want real solutions by real people."

He sees an opportunity to cross the finish line in 2024 because of the independent makeup of the district. He noted that the district "is 22% Democrat, 32% Republican, and 45% independent."

Frisch hopes to appeal to those voters who choose not to affiliate with a party and are looking for a candidate who will look beyond party platforms and party labels to find lasting solutions.
