On this especially solemn day, we encourage all Americans to set aside their political differences and thoughtfully ponder the tragic events of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Today, our hearts are with the families of those who lost precious loved ones on that fateful day. For today, we are not Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Greens, Libertarians, or some other political label. We are simply Americans.
