Because there’s hardly ever any holidays on Tuesdays, and because nobody would go vote on Fridays? :)

i think whens started walk or horses was transportation that allow mondays to travle and diddnt want sundays to travil [i think

Because they wanted the weekend drunks to sober up before they voted. That was before the sober women were allowed to vote.

It minimizes depression-induced binge drinking. Imagine if we voted on Fri or Sat…
