There is so much history being made in the independent and reform movements in 2018 that it is almost impossible to keep up with it all.
Unite New Mexico, a partner of Unite America, announced Thursday its first two endorsements for independent candidates running for the New Mexico Legislature in 2018.
Lamy businessman and nonprofit executive Jarratt Applewhite (HD-50) and former state representative Tweeti Blancett (Hd-40) are the first candidates added to an independent slate that has never

At a briefing on Capitol Hill, the University of Maryland’s Program for Public Consultation presented new public opinion data that shows American voters are eager for three key electoral reforms that would give voters a greater voice at the ballot box and more fair representation in government, while tempering the partisan rancor that currently dominates our politics.
The survey was conducted online with a random sample of 2,482 registered voters who

In February, I traveled from New York City, where I live, to New Orleans to attend the Unrig the System Summit, a gathering of over 1,500 people from all 50 states, focused on how to reform our dysfunctional political system.
I was there to speak on a panel about the leadership of the African American community in the fight for full

#HealthyGov: 6 Groups That Are Changing Politics in America
“We spend most of our time focused on what’s wrong with our government and talking about the dysfunction or breakdowns in a critical way. The city’s diversity will be reflected in its elected officials. And Santa Fe has a new mayor who has the support of a landslide majority of the city’s voters rather than a low plurality.

Jordan Peterson Is Wrong About Borders
#1. "The fundamental assumptions of Western Civilization are valid."
Jordan Peterson begins a lecture he gave last June:
"12 principles for a 21st century conservatism"
With the caveat:
"I am not making the claim that the statement is perfect, comprehensive, or final."

A Hand Up: City of San Diego To Mirror Albuquerque Homeless Program
City of San Diego officials are working to give our homeless population a hand up. Paying them to pick up trash as part of a new program.
