In the latest episode of the Forward Podcast, Forward Party Co-Founder Andrew Yang sat down with AI researcher and author Gary Marcus to discusses the dangers an unchecked generative AI industry has on consumers and US democracy.

But what exactly should policy around AI look like?

Marcus says that Congress has largely failed in its approach -- noting that too many self-serving AI bill have been introduced while lawmakers have largely sat on their hands out of fear of what taking a stand might mean for them in an election -- especially with donors.

Here is the podcast's description of the episode:

Marcus highlights concerns of corporate irresponsibility, widespread AI deployment, lack of regulation, security, and inherent flaws in AI technology, as discussed during his Senate testimony in 2023.
