# Wisconsin Files Final Brief in Groundbreaking Partisan Gerrymandering Case

On September 19, the state of Wisconsin filed its [reply brief](https://www.brennancenter.org/sites/default/files/legal-work/Gill%5FReplyBriefforAppellants.pdf?ref=ivn.us) in [*Gill v. Whitford*](https://ivn.us/tag/wisconsin-redistricting), 16-1161, the case over whether extreme partisan gerrymandering violates the U.S. Constitution. The hearing will be October 3, 2017.
