Rasmussen Reports just [released a survey](http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public%5Fcontent/politics/general%5Fpolitics/august%5F2012/47%5Fsay%5Fmedia%5Fbias%5Fbigger%5Fproblem%5Fthan%5Fcampaign%5Fcontributions%5F42%5Fdisagree?ref=ivn.us) in which 47% of American voters said that media bias was a bigger problem in our political system than campaign contribution laws. The Report did not break down the results based on partisan lines.

Adding to the general sentiment of distrust:

> \[O\]nly 22% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is possible to run for president in today’s world without having ties to any lobbyists and special interest groups. Fifty-seven percent (57%) disagree and say it is not possible to seek the presidency without ties to lobbyists and special interest groups. Twenty-one percent (21%) are not sure.
