I believe whether or not people liked it was tempered by their political affiliation… those on the right absolutely adored the speech, while those on the left tried to suggest that Eastwood is a senile goon for the GOP.

Given how they treated Ron Paul, they’re not engendering 8-10% of their primary/voting caucus into voting for Romney. But that’s where (I hope) they will regret it, if they lose in November. Romney didn’t get the […]

Three Felonies a Day… on average, that’s what we commit every day without even knowing it.

Does that excuse what Lincoln did to writers like Horace Greeley? He hardly led by example.

Libertarians dressed as Republicans? Hardly, given the way that the GOP treated Dr. Paul…

Giving over these powers to the states would save the Federal government lots of trouble, and money.
I think the 10th Amendment has already codified that states have rights to anything not enumerated to the […]

Yes, where would the Republicans be without the military fighting the war on drugs outside of the US? They tend to love hypocrisy.

They don’t want him in the debates either, but he would (hopefully) make the favorite news corporations play by the rules they don’t currently play by. It’s fear; he represents an end to the status quo, just like […]

He has been the guest on many neocon talk shows; he has no honor. He has endorsed Romney, as I mentioned. The LP really had an identity crisis in ’08. Luckily they’re running someone this year who is halfway decent.

Based on history, I’m not holding my breath that the people would do that; this country is too polarized to vote for a third party. But it would be nice. Just watching the Republican and the Democratic National […]

Thanks for reading my post Rachel!
I also believe the Electoral College is confusing, and I think it would take a while to change it (through the Constitutional amendment process), because of party interests, […]

As rude as they are towards us, we cannot fall to their levels, no matter how much better it makes us feel, because we are the ones that everyone wants to find fault with.
They tend to blow the smallest things […]

The general tone taken towards us Paul supporters is based on the ones who tend to be very obnoxious. And for those of us (I’m a 19 year old) who worked in Iowa before the caucuses, that does us a huge disservice. […]

We do, but I don’t think that people need to make themselves that. I’ve given up arguing on Facebook with people who are unreasonable.

FROM THE AUTHOR: Just to clarify to those commenting on this who think I’m opposed to Ron Paul’s ideas… I was a Ron Paul supporter. Reading his book “The Revolution” is what convinced me to become a libertarian. […]

What was the reason you switched? Because you didn’t like Obama’s views on war or social issues? I’m curious why people do what they do, as far as political parties are concerned. And I appreciate that you will be […]

Soon enough Travis. It is good that you are considering these things right now, though. I did the same when I was in high school.

I am the writer. I worked for Ron Paul in Iowa.
I’m not saying we need to compromise, just saying we need to be more reasonable and civil.

There’s something amiss about a number of Ron Paul campaign’s adherents, many of whom did little to aid the congressman in his third and final candidacy for the presidency. These Paul supporters continue to post […]

I will be voting for Gary Johnson. In this election, even more so than in other elections, the two establishment candidates could not be more alike on crucial issues. Yet, the refrain from conservative pundits […]
