A new poll commissioned by WBUR radio news in Boston finds that Independent Angus King has a commanding lead in the race to replace US Senator Olympia Snowe in Maine.
Both former Maine Gov. Angus King and Woods, Chairman of the Yarmouth Town Council, are running as independents. Woods’ proposal contends that neither candidate will play the “spoiler” in November.
Steve Woods, Chairman of the Yarmouth Town Council, announced his run for US Senate earlier this week. He’s the second Independent to join the race, joining former Maine Governor Angus King.
