Proclaiming that California voters now have the tools to take on a government broken by partisanship, IndependentVoice.Org a statewide association of independent voters, announced its “Post-Partisan Candidate” endorsements.
The movement to the middle has just begun. A vote for an Independent leader in November is no longer just a signal. It is now a viable opportunity for real political change in our country, and for a return to civil discourse.
The results of the primary indicated that some voters took advantage of the new, open system by voting outside party lines, allowing more Independent candidates to move ahead to the November general election.
Chad Walsh in Assembly District 28, was the only challenger to incumbent Democrat Paul Fong and therefor will advance to the general election. Walsh had the best showing of the night for an independent, garnering 46.3% of the vote.
